“The National Parks Seen: Two Views” is on exhibit at the gallery at EleMar New England, 2 Gibbs St., through Jan. 14. EleMar is open Mon. through Thurs., 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Fri. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sat. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission to the gallery is free.

David Ottenstein and Robert Lisak’s photographs in The National Parks Seen: Two Views, capture the beauty of our national parks and also explore the attempts to reconcile the lofty goals our national parks embody – the desire to preserve pristine nature, to accommodate thousands of visitors, and to reflect the meaning of the American character.

My next photo exhibit is another joint effort with Robert Lisak. We’ll be showing our work from National Parks at the Gallery at EleMar New England in The National Parks Seen: Two Views. The Opening Reception is Sunday, December 4 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. The Gallery is in New Haven at 2 Gibbs St. The show will be up through January 14, 2017

Robert Lisak and I will be exhibiting photographs from Capitol America, our book project on State Capitol buildings. We’ll be in Robert’s Erector Square studio as part of City Wide Open Studios in Building 7, 2nd floor, Studio 1. Saturday and Sunday October 29-30, 2016 from noon to 6:00 each day.

My next show, ‘Night’, opens at the Da Silva Gallery in New Haven on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The show continues through Thursday, March 31. Da Silva Gallery: 899 Whalley Avenue, New Haven, CT  203-387-2539
